Perrion Winfrey hails from Big Ten country, but he has interest in two SEC West schools.
A 6-4, 305-pound defensive tackle out of Roselle, Illinois, Winfrey currently plays at Iowa Wester Community Class. As a class of 2020 recruit, he has 20 scholarship offers and has narrowed those down to a top eight which includes Alabama and LSU. He shared the top eight in a Sunday tweet, below.
In addition to the Tide and Tigers, Winfrey is also showing interest in Oregon, Nebraska, Penn State, Oklahoma, Florida State and Texas. Per Winfrey’s 247Sports recruiting profile, FSU is the most recent school to show interest. The Seminoles extended a scholarship offer on May 15. The offer from Alabama came on April 26.
