The Tennessee Volunteers have been in a major drought when it comes to making the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

Since making it in back-to-back years in 2004 and 2005, the Vols have gone the past 13 seasons without making it to the field of 64 teams with a chance to win it all.

That all changed on Monday, when the Vols were announced as the No. 2 seed in the regional that will be hosted by North Carolina. As you can see below, the players were thrilled to be the ones to snap that 13-year streak:

The Tar Heels and Vols will be joined by Liberty and UNC-Wilmington. Games in the regional round begin on May 31.

The Vols went 38-19 this season, finishing 14-16 in SEC play.
