South Carolina big man Jason Cudd, a 7-1 center from Socastee, is reportedly leaving the program to pursue other options.

Cudd, who played 23 games as a freshman in 2017-18, averaged 1.3 points per game. In five games during the 2018-19 season before suffering a season-ending knee injury, he didn’t score a single point.

Per a report from The State, Cudd will transfer to Olney Central College in Illinois, which is a two-year school. His plan is reportedly to spend one year working on his game there before returning to the Division I level.

Cudd is apparently open to returning to South Carolina if coach Frank Martin still has interest following his year at Olney Central.

Olney Central made it to the NJCAA quarterfinals last season, losing to Kaskaskia College and posting an overall record of 25-6.
