The Missouri Tigers are currently banned from NCAA postseason play for the 2019 season, although they are vigorously appealing that decision.

As they await the NCAA’s final ruling, it is a hot-button issue at SEC Media Days on Monday, especially with the talented roster that the Tigers bring into the season.

When asked about Mizzou’s case on Monday, commissioner Greg Sankey said he doesn’t like to comment on ongoing cases, but did say that he thinks the committee ruling on Mizzou’s case has a big opportunity:

“I’ve always reserved comment about decisions, but the NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee certainly has an opportunity here,” he said. “I’ll leave it at that.”

As far as “no comments” go, that’s a pretty strong one from Sankey. Now, we just have to wait and see what the appeals process decides.
