Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa appeared to be mostly healthy against LSU despite having right ankle surgery about three weeks ago.

Tagovailoa finished 21-for-40 passing for 418 yards, with four touchdowns and an interception. Three times in the second half of the 46-41 loss to LSU, Tagovailoa rallied the Crimson Tide to within a touchdown of the Tigers.

The showdown, which was played in front of President Donald Trump, also saw Tagovailoa toss an 85-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith with 1:21 left to answer LSU’s latest score.

But it wasn’t enough in the end as the Crimson Tide lost their eight-game winning streak in the series and Alabama’s 31-game home winning streak.

Tagovailoa took to Instagram after the game, and said, “1 leg or not. The Game needed loving, so I gave it my heart.”
