A defensive assistant is reportedly leaving an ACC program to join Derek Mason’s Vanderbilt coaching staff for the 2020 season.

Multiple outlets are reporting that NC State nickels coach Aaron Henry has accepted a position with the Commodores. Henry was on the Wolfpack coaching staff the past three seasons, coaching safeties in 2017 before moving to nickels ahead of the 2018 season. Henry’s prior stops include coaching defensive backs at Rutgers and working with the secondary at Arkansas as a graduate assistant. As a defensive back at Wisconsin (2007-11), Henry was named First-Team All-Big Ten in his final season.

On Dec. 31, Commodores cornerbacks coach Terrence Brown left Vanderbilt to take a position on the Washington Huskies coaching staff.
