Tennessee will be back on the field Saturday night and will be wearing the stormtrooper look in the 2020 season opener at South Carolina.

If you missed it, earlier this week, South Carolina announced the team will be wearing all black against the Volunteers.

The two SEC East rivals are set to begin play at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.

In addition to revealing the team’s uniform combination for the season opener, Tennessee also announced it plans to honor former Tennessee All-American and head coach Johnny Majors with a patch on the team’s uniform this season. Majors passed away this offseason at age 85.

Here is the uniform reveal Tennessee issued on Friday:

Tennessee offered the following statement on its tribute to Majors for this season:

“A 1987 inductee of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame, Tennessee football legend John Terrill “Johnny” Majors passed away at the age of 85 on June 3, 2020. Majors put together a historic playing career for the Volunteers from 1954-56 and as head coach from 1977-92. His No. 45 was retired by his alma mater in 2012. Tennessee will wear a No. 45 patch featuring Majors’ initials and honoring his indelible legacy as a Volunteer.”

Here is the Johnny Majors patch, featuring the “JTM 45” on the right shoulder of the uniform:
