Jayden Peavy played a big part in Texas A&M’s Orange Bowl win Saturday night over North Carolina, notching a fumble recovery, two quarterback hurries and a batted pass. It turns out it won’t be the last time the senior defender suits up for the Aggies in 2021.

Peavy announced Sunday that he is taking advantage of his “COVID free year” of NCAA eligibility and coming back for another season at Texas A&M. Peavy shared the news in an awesome Twitter video featuring some pop culture references, such as “Anchorman” and “Wolf of Wall Street,” mixed with highlight plays.

Out of Bellaire, Texas, Peavy joined the Aggie program in 2017, Kevin Sumlin’s final season. He has appeared in 47 games, including 35 during the past three seasons under Jimbo Fisher. Each of the past two seasons he has recorded 34 total tackles and 5 TFLs.
