Former Kentucky punter Max Duffy lands NFL opportunity

Former Kentucky punter Max Duffy made quite an impact on the Wildcats during his time in Lexington.

However, during the 2021 NFL Draft, the Australia native didn’t hear his name called over the course of the 7-round event.

But, on Monday afternoon, he got his first NFL opportunity. As you can see below, the Denver Broncos took to Twitter to announce they’d signed the undrafted free agent:

Duffy punted 42 times in 9 games in 2020, averaging 45.1 yards per punt.

The Broncos currently have Sam Martin on their roster as the starting punter, but Duffy could challenge for the starting job or even a backup position. We’ll see how he performs over the summer.
