Jason Brown receives the ultimate NFL compliment from Dawn Staley

Dawn Staley offered one of the ultimate compliments for a college quarterback on Saturday night as she wrote to Jason Brown on Twitter, and said he played like Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, a Super Bowl champion.
Brown, a first-time starter and third-string QB, threw for 2 touchdowns, as South Carolina delivered a shocking upset against Florida. Brown became the Gamecocks’ third starting QB this season and the FCS transfer from St. Francis made his first SEC start an eye-opening one.
Brown was 14-for-24 passing for 175 yards in the 40-17 win over Florida.
On South Carolina’s campus, and around Columbia, it’s difficult to find someone who is respected more than Staley, who won the 2017 national championship, and has led the women’s basketball program to 3 Final Fours in the last 6 tournaments.
