Kentucky assistant has response to Iowa player claiming Wildcats haven't been to bowl game in a while
Kentucky is gearing up to face Iowa in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day. The Wildcats, at 9-3, can claim the program’s first double-digit win season since 2018 with a victory over the Hawkeyes in Orlando.
Apparently one of the Hawkeyes’ players wasn’t aware of the Wildcats’ postseason history, as you can see in the video below:

Of course, the Wildcats have been to a bowl game in each of the last 6 seasons, winning the last 3.
The video of the Iowa player made its way to Wildcats associate head coach Vince Marrow, who appears to be using it to motivate his players. As you can see below, he tagged wide receiver Wan’dale Robinson, running back Chris Rodriguez, defensive lineman Marquan McCall, and linebacker DeAndre Square in his response:
Wow. I’m glad this is our first bowl game. @wanda1erobinson @CROD_JR @UKFootball @MccallMarquan . @d_square10 let’s go. https://t.co/rboKv8U4p2

Either the Hawkeyes player forgot about his opponent’s bowl success in recent years, was mixed up with another team, or was looking to needle Kentucky. But it’s clear that at least a few members of the Wildcats aren’t about to let the remark slide.
