Justin Powell is reportedly looking for a new team. The Tennessee guard, who transferred from Auburn, is back in the NCAA transfer portal, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.

Powell began his career at Auburn, averaging 11.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists, while shooting 44.2% from 3-point range in 2020-21. As a freshman, Powell played in 10 games for the Tigers, making 7 starts, averaging 27.5 minutes before being sidelined with a season-ending injury.

Powell enrolled at Tennessee on June 3. He played in 30 games this season for Rick Barnes’ Volunteers this past season, but his average output decreased to 3.7 points and 1.5 rebounds over 14.1 minutes per game.

A Kentucky native and North Oldham product, Powell was a 3-star prospect, rated No. 188 overall nationally in the class of 2019 on the 247Sports Composite.
