Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw a self-proclaimed “subtle jab” at NFL media members Wednesday afternoon, citing their apparent disrespect of his deep ball accuracy earlier this season and in the offseason.
Salty Tua has made a reappearance and Dolphins fans are loving every bit of it.
Tua was asked about how he’s grown this season:
“I think I’ve grown a lot with the deep balls, huh…. That was probably a subtle jab but it was a jab.” ?? #FinsUp pic.twitter.com/WWCx3JQ33x

This much is clear, it’s hard not to root for Tagovailoa. He’s led the Dolphins to a strong 5-3 record with a game against the Chicago Bears next on the docket.
Tagovailoa has indeed improved his deep ball, perhaps because of speedy weapons such as Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle representing a clearer target downfield. Whatever the reason, the former Alabama QB is playing lights out in his 3rd year in the NFL.
