Tennessee softball is back in the Super Regionals after a 2-season, 3-year hiatus.

The Lady Vols downed Indiana 7-3 Sunday behind a pair of home runs off the bat of Zaida Puni. The 2023 All-SEC infielder started the day off with a 2-run shot.

In a spout of Deja Vu, Puni did so again to break the game wide open in the 5th. The Lady Vols would later score 3 more runs to solidify Sunday’s 7-run outing.

Tennessee softball has been as impressive as anyone in the country the past few weeks, too. The Lady Vols swept the Knoxville regional with ease, run-ruling Northern Kentucky and Indiana (Sat.) before taking their 2nd bout on Sunday.

Payton Gottshall was incredible from the circle, striking out 6 batters while allowing 5 hits and no runs.

Tennessee will host Texas in the Super Regional round next week.
