Kirby Smart has better things to do than worry about the SEC’s ongoing debate regarding the scheduling format for the conference. That’s the type of attitude one should expect from the head coach of the reigning national champions two years running.

Smart’s also not about to start worrying about any team on Georgia’s schedule. That probably comes from a 29-1 overall record the past two seasons, including a 16-0 record in the SEC during regular-season play.

Nevertheless, Smart was asked about the scheduling debate during the SEC’s spring meetings. The head coach of the Bulldogs succinctly labeled it the “most overrated conversation there ever was” and reiterated it is just not a big deal overall.

Smart might not think much about the SEC’s scheduling model but it remains a hot topic this week. We’ll see which direction the league eventually decides on for the future.
