Senior South Carolina quarterback Dylan Thompson carved up the Georgia defense in the first 30 minutes.

Thompson completed 16 of 26 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns as the Gamecocks took a 24-13 lead into the locker room.

The ‘Dawgs are playing extremely soft coverage in the secondary, often with single-high safeties playing 20+ yards off the ball and are getting torched across the middle of the field. Tight end Rory Anderson has four catches for 57 yards and a touchdown for South Carolina. The Gamecocks have three touchdown drives of 75 yards.

The Gamecocks have gained 298 yards of total offense, and have controlled the first half. Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt will have to make some significant alignment and coverage tweaks if Georgia is going to have any chance to win this game.
