The Associated Press released its preseason bowl projections Tuesday.

To no one’s surprise, the AP predicts 12 SEC teams will make a bowl game, tying last year’s record. The organization expects all seven SEC West teams to make a bowl, with Kentucky and Vanderbilt the only outliers.

Auburn continues to be a media darling (I expect big things from the Tigers as well). The AP picked a national title game of Ohio State-Auburn.

Projected to play in the Birmingham Bowl by the AP, the Mississippi State family has plenty of bulletin-board material and doubters if the Bulldogs need any motivation this season. Based on the bowl projections, the AP expects the top SEC contenders to be Georgia, LSU, Alabama and Arkansas.
