First Gatorade and now this.

University of Florida researchers are working on a smart mouth guard for football players, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, that can detect when players are dehydrated.

Technology itself is playing a major role in college football. Quarterbacks are using virtual reality to get looks at different defensive sets and recognize the alignment.

LSU was trying out new mouth guards that helped report concussion symptoms, but they weren’t like Florida’s, which are trying to identify dehydration.

Now, if they could only combine the two technologies.
