Alabama 2020 QB commit Bryce Young has had an amazing 2019 season, his final year at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California.

Young will be on campus at Alabama by January, as he plans to enroll after the early signing period later this month.

Per 247Sports, Young had a great 2019 season, throwing for 4,528 yards and compiling 58 touchdowns. Now, he’s being rewarded in the rankings, moving up 15 spots.

Young is up to No. 6 in the overall 247Sports composite rankings. He’s the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 class and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of California.

Can he compete for the starting job in Tuscaloosa next season? We’ll find out in a matter of months.
