Alabama has had a bit of coaching turnover in recent weeks, and while this latest move isn’t of the same importance as others, it’s still a continuation of that trend.

According to a report by the Charleston Gazette on Friday, Alabama graduate assistant Doug Belk has been hired to coach cornerbacks for West Virginia. Belk has been with the Crimson Tide for the past three season, and he worked primarily with the secondary.

Per the Charleston Gazette, “Belk, who interviewed at WVU on Tuesday, worked with the secondary at Alabama and was known to spend time beside Nick Saban while the head coach worked with the cornerbacks.”

The Crimson Tide have lost two primary offensive coaches in the past two months in Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian, and Belk’s time with Saban likely made him an attractive candidate.
