Alabama has new threads. And they look like old threads. And fans will be seeing them real soon.

On Monday, the program teased a new uniform with nothing more than a short, 13-second clip on social media and a date — Feb. 17. Several hours later, Alabama dropped a longer video showing off a retro white kit with the beloved block A logo emblazoned on the shorts.

Coach Nate Oats told reporters at the Birmingham Tip Off Club on Monday that the uniform takes inspiration from the 2003-04 Alabama team, per TideIllustrated’s Tony Tsoukalas.

Led by Kennedy Winston and Earnest Shelton, that team remains the only squad in program history to make an Elite Eight. This year marks the 20th anniversary of their run, which began as an 8-seed and featured a second-round matchup with a Stanford team that brought a 29-1 record into the tournament.

The Crimson Tide (17-7, 9-2 SEC) are ranked 15th in the country and coming off a 109-92 win over LSU. The game against Texas A&M (15-8, 6-4 SEC) is set to tip off at noon ET on ESPN.
