Alabama coach Nick Saban had a rare item to include on Friday’s injury report – a hunting accident.

AL.com’s Michael Casagrande reports that Saban led off the injury report by describing DL Dakota Ball’s finger injury in a recent hunting accident.

“He actually had a hunting accident,” Saban said, “and shot his finger. I don’t know what exactly or how long he’ll be out but we’ll let you know as it goes.”

The senior defensive lineman has 12 tackles on the year, including one for loss. Other updates on the injury front included the announcement that starting DB Tony Brown did not practice after pulling a muscle in a workout last week, but CB Marlon Humphrey was back after missing the SEC Championship Game.
