Alabama lands commitment from elite 4-star in-state 2024 cornerback

Alabama has consistently churned out elite defensive backs. In fact, CB Eli Ricks is getting buzz as a potential first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
On Tuesday, the Crimson Tide landed perhaps their next great cornerback, scoring a commitment from 4-star 2024 CB Jaylen Mbakwe.
Mbakwe, a native of Pinson, Alabama, who plays for Clay-Chalkville High School, revealed his decision on Instagram Live.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Mbakwe is the No. 4 cornerback in the class of 2024 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.
The Crimson Tide now have 3 players in their 2024 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 8 in the nation, per 247Sports.
