Alabama loses commitment from elite 2020 QB prospect

The Alabama 2019 recruiting class is elite, but the 2020 class took a big hit on Monday night, as a star quarterback decommitted.
That quarterback is 4-star Florida native Carson Beck, who had been committed to the Crimson Tide since June of 2018.
As you can see below, reporter Dan Hicken announced the news via Twitter on Monday night, saying Beck is reopening his recruitment:

Per the 247Sports composite, Beck is the No. 10 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2020 and the No. 38 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
Beck recently posted a photo after a visit with the Florida Gators, so perhaps Dan Mullen will soon land the talented in-state prospect:
