Alabama has lost a promising young offensive lineman to the transfer portal.

Elijah Pritchett reportedly plans to enter the portal. Pritchett redshirted his freshman season and then appeared in all 13 games for the Crimson Tide in 2023.

The lineman has great size, standing at 6’6″ and weighing in at 312 pounds. Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, Pritchett was the No. 37 overall prospect in the 2022 class and the No. 5 player out of Georgia.

Pritchett was heavily recruited out of Carver High School in Columbus, GA. The lineman received offers from Georgia, Florida State, and USC, among others, before settling on the Tide. The lineman will now have 3 years of eligibility remaining after he decides what school to play for next.

Pritchett will be the 6th player on the Tide’s roster to enter the transfer portal this offseason. Anquin Barnes, Ja’Corey Brooks, Isaiah Hastings, Thaiu Jones-Bell, and Tyler Buchner are the other players who have thrown their names into the transfer portal.

The Tide are set to face off against the Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
