Alabama pledge says he’ll flip 5-star Notre Dame commitment: ‘Mark my words’

Alabama recently added 5-star running back Richard Young to its 2023 class. Now, Young wants to get another 5-star on board to play for the Crimson Tide.
On social media, Young told his followers that he will get Keeley to flip his commitment from Notre Dame to Alabama.

Young’s declaration comes after Keeley visited Tuscaloosa this past weekend for a recruiting BBQ. Keon Keeley’s mother Janicke Keeley spoke to On3’s Joseph Hastings about their Alabama visit:
“It was a great day and a half at the University of Alabama,” Janicke Keeley said. “Great BBQ food, stadium visit, campus tour, and position meeting. We had a fantastic time. We had seen most before on our first visit. He likes everything about Alabama.”
“It went extremely well,” Keeley added. “Great time with [Caleb Downs, Justice Haynes, and Miles McVay]. Only player he spent time with who sat with us and ate was Keanu Koht. He’s a great EDGE and a great guy. He took time to spend time with Keon and talk to him.”
Out of Berkeley Prep in Tampa, Florida, Keeley measures 6-6, 242 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Keeley is rated 5-stars, the No. 1 edge defender and No.8 prospect overall in the class of 2023. He committed to Notre Dame on June 28, 2021.
