Alabama’s exodus following Nick Saban’s retirement now reportedly includes Julian Sayin, an early enrollee quarterback.

Sayin committed to Alabama in November, 2022 and chose the Crimson Tide over Georgia and LSU. At the time of his commitment, Sayin was rated the No. 15 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite and No. 13 in the Top247. He’s also the top rated recruit in the state of California in the 2024 class. Sayin was recruited to Alabama by Holmon Wiggins and Bill O’Brien. Sayin was listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds. He had a reported 24 offers.

Sayin’s news came a day after former Washington quarterback Austin Mack announced his transfer commitment to the Crimson Tide to rejoin new coach Kalen DeBoer. The Alabama roster still has Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson and Dylan Lonergan presumably ahead of Mack.

Sayin is the 26th player to enter the portal and second early enrollee after blue-chip cornerback Jameer Grimsley, who did so on Thursday.
