Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Bond is entering the transfer portal, according to a report from The Tuscaloosa News’ Nick Kelly.

The 5-foot-11 sophomore from Buford, Georgia, led Alabama in receptions this season with 48. He finished with 668 yards and four touchdowns — including the game-winner in one of the wildest Iron Bowl endings ever.

He becomes the first Alabama player to hit the portal in the wake of Nick Saban’s retirement. With the coaching change, Alabama players have a 30-day window to enter the transfer portal and explore their options. Bond could still opt to return to Alabama.

The Crimson Tide are also looking to replace leading receiver Jermaine Burton (NFL Draft) and fellow starter Malik Benson (transfer to FSU).

Bond was a 4-star recruit in the 2022 class, signing with Alabama over Florida and Miami, among others. He was ranked as the No. 52 overall recruit in the class by the industry-generated 247 Composite.

He played right away in 2022, hauling in 17 receptions for 220 yards and a touchdown. This season, he excelled in big moments.

Bond brought in 96 yards and a touchdown against Texas A&M on Oct. 7. Then he brought in a 31-yard touchdown with 32 seconds remaining to beat Auburn on Nov. 25. That catch — on fourth-and-goal, no less — was one of five catches he had in the game. He also brought in five receptions for 79 yards in the SEC Championship win over Georgia.
