Brandon Miller scores 41 points in overtime win over South Carolina
Brandon Miller erupted for 41 points in Alabama’s overtime win at South Carolina on Wednesday night.
Miller hit the game-winning shot as well as the game-tying basket at the end of regulation to force overtime. He also added 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 3 steals and sunk 6 3-pointers.
For Alabama, this win ensured the Crimson Tide remain on track to earn their 1st-ever No. 1 seed. A loss to South Carolina would have been damaging to their résumé.

Unreal 41 PTS for Brandon Miller last night in OT win at South Carolina. Been a wild week for Miller, but he showed his tremendous scoring ability, hot shooting, improved finishing, and unmatched confidence. Hit two clutch buckets late, too

It was an emotional game for Miller, who was dealing with the aftermath of his involvement in a Jan. 15 Tuscaloosa murder becoming public knowledge. According to court testimony, Miller transported the handgun that was allegedly used in the murder to former teammate Darius Miles. Miller’s attorney released a statement on Wednesday clarifying that he never handled the firearm and was unaware of Miles’ intentions.
Alabama will be in action again on Saturday at home against Arkansas.
