As No. 1 Alabama prepares for a struggling Tennessee team this weekend, coach Nick Saban has been stressing to the Crimson Tide that they can’t take any opponent for granted.

Therefore, he probably wouldn’t be too happy with a picture Alabama LB Mack Wilson posted on Wednesday night, showing himself and a couple of teammates smoking victory cigars after last year’s Tennessee game.

As you can see below, the caption in the picture says “We lighting it up this weekend,” referring to a Crimson Tide victory:

As Saban has said many times this year, he doesn’t want his team buying into its own hype or reading the so-called “rat poison” that is positive press coverage.

Clearly, Wilson hasn’t gotten the memo, as this is likely exactly the type of bulletin-board material Saban would rather not give his opponents, no matter how much they’ve dominated this year.

Yes, Alabama should cruise to another easy win on Saturday afternoon, but Saban wants his team focused on the task at hand every week, so basically guaranteeing a victory isn’t what he’d want Wilson to do.
