Cause for concern? Tua Tagovailoa seems to tweak knee injury on last play vs. Tennessee
Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa has been incredible this season, and is easily the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.
However, he’s also been battling a knee injury the past couple of weeks, and it seemed to act up on him again against Tennessee.
After taking a 42-14 lead at halftime against the Vols, Tagovailoa returned to the field in the third quarter, and that may have been a mistake. As you can see below, he went down and was slow to get up after this touchdown pass:

That seemingly ended Tagovailoa’s day, as Jalen Hurts took over on the next series. And what a day it was for the sophomore quarterback — 306 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.
Tagovailoa now has a bye to get healthy, and he’ll need to be at full strength if the Tide are going to continue to be dominant. A trip to LSU to face the Tigers’ ferocious defense awaits after the bye.
