Damien Harris on Alabama’s invite to the White House: ‘It’s an incredible honor for us’

Don’t expect any drama from Nick Saban’s Alabama program when they get an opportunity to visit the White House after winning yet another national championship. The Crimson Tide are scheduled to visit the White House on Tuesday.

While it’s become more and more popular for some athletes to refuse an invite to the White House, senior running back Damien Harris said the opportunity to visit the capital is an honor for the Crimson Tide. Harris met with the media Monday afternoon and was asked about the planned trip by Saban’s program.

“It’s an incredible honor for us. That’s something that comes with being national champions,” Harris said.

When asked if any players Alabama planned not to go to the White House, Harris said “everybody” would be going.
