As NFL free agency continues, another SEC player has found his future home.

Eddie Lacy, a three-time champion with Alabama and one-time Pro Bowler with the Green Bay Packers, is headed to Seattle.

When Lacy came off the board in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft, it was without the hype of first-round predecessors Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson. He would quickly prove those doubters wrong in his rookie season, however, earning a Second Team All-Pro selection and a Rookie of the Year nod. He followed that 2013 campaign with a second consecutive 1,000-yard season in 2014, but his production has been down ever since.

In the last two years off the field issues and injuries have limited Lacy’s appeal. He played in only five games last season due to a foot injury that required surgery, landing him on the IR to finish the year.

For Lacy fans, however, Seattle seems like a dream destination. Built on a stout defense and a physical ground game, the Seahawks may fit his style better than the West Coast pass-happy attack in Green Bay. Back in 2010, the Seahawks took a chance on another power back that was down on his luck, and it revitalized the career of one Marshawn Lynch.
