Former Alabama RB Justice Haynes has found his new home.
After entering the NCAA transfer portal, Haynes will reportedly continue his college football career at Michigan.
A former Buford (Georgia) High School standout, Haynes was one of the top prospects in the 2023 recruiting class. He was rated 5-stars, the No. 2 player in the Peach State, No. 3 running back and No. 29 prospect overall in the Class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. A Georgia legacy, he chose to play for Alabama over offers from UGA, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and others.
In 2 seasons at Alabama, Haynes played in 25 games.
As a freshman, Haynes logged 25 carries for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns in 13 games. This past season, Haynes made 12 appearances, including 6 starts. He saw his workload increase to 79 carries for 448 yards and 7 touchdowns. Haynes added 17 catches for 99 yards in his sophomore season.
Haynes finished 2024 as Alabama’s No. 3 rusher behind QB Jalen Milroe (152 rushes, 719 yards, 20 TD) and RB Jam Miller (135 carries, 641 yards, 7 TD). Miller has announced he will return for 2025.
Haynes is sure to have an interesting New Year’s Eve as his former team faces his new team. Alabama and Michigan will meet in Tampa in the ReliaQuest Bowl, a game that kicks off at noon ET on Dec. 31 and airs on ESPN.
