Jalen Milroe affirmed his commitment to the Alabama program following the regular season, with the Crimson Tide quarterback announcing that he would return in 2024 rather than declare for the NFL Draft after 3 seasons in Tuscaloosa.
That was in December. Fast forward to the present day and Nick Saban’s retirement triggering a 30-day transfer window for Crimson Tide players.
However, Milroe re-affirmed his decision on Friday night hours after the hiring of Kalen DeBoer as the Crimson Tide’s new head coach. WVUA-TV’s Juliet Brown was on hand as Milroe and his Alabama teammates arrived at the Mal Moore Athletic Facility to meet with DeBoer for the first time, with Milroe yelling “I’m staying” and “Roll Tide” while walking in:

Despite Milroe’s return being sealed, that wasn’t the case for Tide wide receiver Isaiah Bond, who entered the transfer portal in the wake of Saban’s announcement. The Iron Bowl hero made 48 catches for 668 yards and a touchdown for Alabama in 2023.
