Mack Wilson makes it official, he’s leaving Alabama for the NFL.

On Sunday, the Crimson Tide linebacker became the seventh Alabama player to declare early for the 2019 NFL Draft since the team’s season came to an end. Following his first season as a full-time starter in Nick Saban’s defense, Wilson was named to the SEC Coaches’ All-SEC Second-Team squad. He was also named a player of the week by his Alabama coaches following games against Missouri and The Citadel.

Wilson joins running back Josh Jacobs, tight end Irv Smith, defensive backs Savion Smith and Deionte Thompson, left tackle Jonah Williams and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams as early entrants into the upcoming draft.

The seven players leaving Alabama early for the 2019 NFL Draft is an SEC high.
