Mike Dubose is once again a head coach in Alabama.

While he may no longer hold the top job in the state, the former Crimson Tide head coach is still coaching football and after a few years on staff at Opp High School, Dubose has been named the new head coach of the program.

Here is the statement issued by Opp High School on the school’s Facebook page:

“Opp City Schools and Opp High School are proud to announce that Mike Dubose has agreed to become the next Head Football Coach at Opp High School. Although he has been with us for the past two seasons as an assistant, this marks a new chapter for Coach and Bobcat Football. Please join us in welcoming Coach Dubose and Mrs. Polly as we embark on this new era of Bobcat Football.”

During his time in Tuscaloosa, Dubose had a 24-23 overall record in four seasons from 1997-2000. Dubose led Alabama to one SEC Championship (in 1999) during his time serving as head coach of the program

Dubose is a graduate of Opp High School.
