NFL player, former Alabama DB Marlon Humphrey arrested in Tuscaloosa

What in the world is Marlon Humphrey doing?

The 2017 first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens out of Alabama was arrested Thursday in Tuscaloosa. According to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Humphrey was booked on third-degree robbery charges.

Charges of that nature can be brought when a criminal uses force or a weapon to take someone’s property. If convicted of this crime, multiple years of jail can be handed out. O.J. Simpson was jailed for several years for a similar crime. This crime is a Class C felony in the state of Alabama.

Humphrey was an All-American in 2016 for Alabama and is coming off his rookie season in the NFL. He signed a four-year, $11.84 million contract with the Ravens last offseason, which included a signing bonus of $6.75 million.
