Agiye Hall was recently removed from the Alabama football roster. Nick Saban said the second-year wide receiver is suspended from the team.

Saban met with the media on Wednesday. When asked about Hall, he said it’s a suspension for violation of team rules.

“He is suspended from the team for violations of some team rules, whether they’re academic or whatever, it doesn’t really matter,” Saban said, per AL.com’s Mike Rodak. “Everybody has a responsibility and obligation to respect the principles and values [of the program].”

When asked about Hall potentially returning to the team, Saban noted that the wide receiver already had that opportunity with the Crimson Tide once. Saban then commented that he did not know of Hall’s future plans.

When reports revealed Hall’s absence from the roster, the wide receiver responded, “news to me.” A former top-50 overall recruit in the class of 2021, Hall was one of the standout performers of last year’s A-Day spring game.

Last season, Hall had 4 catches for 72 yards.
