Alabama will be without another linebacker this season, coach Nick Saban announced on Saturday.

Chris Allen, who played in seven games as a freshman last year, had six tackles, two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble. Allen’s loss will hurt Alabama’s depth at that position as he was in line to be a top backup at outside linebacker.

Saban added that the team is already too thin at both linebacker positions to move players around.
