The University of Alabama knocked off the University of Georgia Saturday night 41-24 in an instant classic from Tuscaloosa.

It’s been an emotional week for Nick Saban, as he tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday and had to go home away from his team and quarantine. However, he remained asymptomatic and tested negative Thursday, Friday and Saturday in order to coach in the game against Georgia. That’s the protocol to be cleared.

Former Saban assistants, including Kirby Smart, remain 0-22 against their former boss, and the SEC still goes through Tuscaloosa.

Mac Jones threw for 417 yards and 4 touchdowns on Georgia’s top-ranked defense, while Alabama’s defense forced 3 turnovers by UGA quarterback Stetson Bennett. The Tide outscored the Bulldogs 21-0 in the second half.

Following the game, Alabama showed an inside look at the locker room celebration, which featured Saban cutting a rug with his players.
