Nick Saban gets roasted for playing Jermaine Burton after post-game incident at Tennessee

Nick Saban was criticized in the first half of Alabama’s game with Mississippi State after Jermaine Burton caught his first pass, a 23-yarder.

Burton last week was caught on video allegedly striking a woman who rushed the field at Tennessee after the Vols knocked off Alabama. Saban released a statement during the week, and said, “We are aware of the situation with Jermaine Burton as he was exiting the field Saturday. We are currently working to gather more information,โ€ Saban said.

ESPNโ€™s Chris Fowler addressed the issue during the broadcast and added that Burton is working with anger-management counselors and Saban hopes Burton will learn to control his emotions better. Fowler cited Burtonโ€™s retaliation penalty against Texas A&M in addition to the post-Tennessee incident.
