On Thursday, Alabama coach Nick Saban took part in his weekly call-in radio show.

He discussed the season so far and spent time previewing Alabama’s first SEC opponent, Ole Miss.

The Rebels have given the Crimson Tide trouble over the past few seasons; Alabama is 2-2 against Ole Miss since 2014 while they are an astounding 48-1 against all other teams.

During Thursday’s radio show, Saban had an interesting comment about Ole Miss’ star running back, Scottie Phillips.

That’s right, Phillips reminds Saban a little bit of Heisman-winner Mark Ingram, and I can understand why.

While this is Phillips’ first season in the SEC, he’s leading the conference in rushing through two weeks with 311 yards. The junior has also recorded four rushing touchdowns so far.

In Ingram’s junior season at Alabama, he recorded 875 yards rushing and 14 total touchdowns. Even though it’s early in the season, Phillips seems like he’s on track for those kind of statistics.
