After suffering a season-ending knee injury last season, LB Shaun Dion Hamilton went down in the third quarter grabbing his right knee. He left the game and did not return.

Likewise, fellow LB Mack Wilson was also carted off the field and did not return with a foot injury.

Nick Saban announced after the win over LSU that both Hamilton and Wilson are “probably out,” but he didn’t clarify for how long. CBS Sports Allie LaForce tweeted that it will be for the season, according to Alabama.

That’s terrible news for the Tide’s defense.

Hamilton is a key piece to Alabama’s defense, and Wilson is a big-time contributor at the position.

Thankfully, Alabama has one of the deepest LB corps in college football, but losing so many talented players at the position is a massive blow. Following the FSU game, Alabama lost LBs Christian Miller and Terrell Lewis due to season ending injuries.

Now, it appears that Hamilton and Wilson have suffered the same fate.
