San Diego is a long way from the SEC region, but the College Football Playoff is getting in on the ComicCon action along with everyone at the event out on the west coast.
On Thursday, the CFP released an incredible comic book-inspired image of the past three national champions with a blank space reading “2018 Who’s in?”
Alabama (2016), Clemson (2017) and Ohio State (2015) all saw their mascots get the superhero treatment in the below image:

Perhaps the best bet to join the group this year is Florida State, but all three teams depicted above will have something to say about that and should make their cases for inclusion in the four-team College Football Playoff.
The CFP winners form an exclusive club and it’s quite possible that they keep the trophy in the family when the 2017 season kicks off.
