Alabama’s undefeated regular season culminated with another victory in the SEC championship game.
Seemingly every year, the Crimson Tide reload with new players and achieve the same results. This year’s team feels slightly different, and that is largely due to the emergence of true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hurts’ dual-threat ability is something we haven’t traditionally seen from Alabama, and it’s made this season a lot of fun to watch. One of the sport’s emerging stars, Hurts is sure to gain plenty of recognition in the coming years.
In its latest CFB Playoff magazine, Sports Illustrated chose the freshman quarterback for the cover. This likely won’t be the last time that happens.
