Whether the new Texas staff takes on an identity that resembles the Alabama staff remains to be seen, but a report from FootballScoop suggests that Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian has targeted several members of the Crimson Tide staff to join him as he settles into his role as the new head coach at Texas.

Here is how some of the new staff appears according to FootballScoop:

Kyle Flood: Offensive coordinator/offensive line
AJ Milwee: Quarterbacks
Stan Drayton: Running backs
Holmon Wiggins: Wide receivers

Flood is currently the Alabama offensive line coach, while Milwee is an analyst but was also recently named the offensive coordinator at Arkansas State under new coach Butch Jones. Drayton, the Texas running backs coach, is expected to remain on the Longhorns staff. Wiggins is in his second season, the same tenure time as Flood, as wide receivers coach at Alabama.

Milwee is a former Akron offensive coordinator, and at 30 years old, was the second-youngest FBS coordinator at the time of his promotion.

FootballScoop noted that Milwee, “is expected to operate hand-in-glove with Sarkisian. While Sarkisian is anticipated to set the offense’s direction and call plays on game day, Milwee will assist Sarkisian in quarterback development and manage the day-to-day aspects of the position.”

There’s also this possibility: The above staff leaves open a tight ends position, which could potentially be filled by Alabama tight ends coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Banks, the report suggested.
