Bryce Young has done it all this season. He won the Heisman Trophy. He signed name, image and likeness deals. He guided Alabama to the College Football Playoff and could win a national title. And he solidified himself among the top prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft class.

Who wouldn’t want to go to Alabama to try to follow the same path as Young?

On “SEC This Morning” on Monday, SEC Network’s Peter Burns discussed how Young’s successful year is the perfect recruiting pitch for Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban when he’s trying to land top-tier quarterbacks in the future. It’s a strong argument for QBs to have success at Alabama.

“You talk about recruiting, when Bryce Young coming out of Mater Dei was a guy that was a 5-star guy, when you say that, it’s crazy to think about,” Burns said. “They finally got a quarterback that wins. And oh by the way, Nick Saban also has shown before the season, you play QB1 at Alabama, you might be worth 7 figures. I mean, is there a better recruiting pitch than what Nick Saban has built than with Bryce Young this year? I don’t know ever.”

Young isn’t the only quarterback who has had success at Alabama in recent memory. Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa were both Heisman finalists who went on to become 1st-round picks in the NFL Draft.

But Young had a special season, becoming the 1st Crimson Tide QB to win the Heisman and only the 4th player in program history to capture the prestigious award.
