The Missouri Tigers managed to overcome some early mistakes to keep things close in the first quarter against No. 1 Alabama, trailing only 13-10.

However, the Tide then did as they usually do, pulling away and earning an easy 39-10 victory to remain unbeaten.

Following the game, Mizzou coach Barry Odom said the Tide are as good of a team as he’s ever coached against (via AL.com):

“They got rolling there in the second quarter, and they are a good football team, as good as I have ever gone against and as I have ever seen,” he said. “They are solid in every area, and Nick (Saban) has done a tremendous job.”

DB DeMarkus Acy said the Tigers weren’t surprised by what they saw from Alabama, but said the Tide made it so they didn’t execute the way they needed to:

“There really isn’t that much difference,” Acy said. “We knew what we were facing. We felt like we were matched up athletically, toe-to-toe. It was just a lack of execution on our part.”

The Tide have earned praise from every opponent this year, but you know that doesn’t make coach Nick Saban happy. He’ll find plenty of things to work on this week so the Tide can try to be even better against Tennessee next weekend.
