Will Anderson Jr. is a tough customer to be on the field against, and his expression during the Alabama team picture on Sunday shows he’s already ready to go this season.

All indications are that Anderson will have a big season, as he’s widely considered the best linebacker in the country, and some consider him the best overall defender and player.

Anderson as a sophomore last season led the country in sacks (17.5) and tackles for loss (34.5) as he won the Bronko Nagurski Award, which is given to the top defensive player in college football. He finished fifth in Heisman Trophy voting.

Anderson has said winning the Heisman is among his goals and if he fulfills it, he would be the first defensive player to win it since Charles Woodson.

“I’m looking forward to it again,” Anderson told Paul Finebaum in June. “It’s most definitely on my goal list this year coming up, so I’m looking forward to it.”
